Just a few miles away is Grizedale Forest with its sign posted walking and cycling routes, it is a mecca for people who enjoy fresh mountain air, fabulous views of distant mountains and being with loved ones in the countryside. It’s got everything you want and the lodges are superb, location just right. The lodge was the best we have stayed in, would give it 20 stars if I could, absolutely fantastic. First visit and loved every minute. Lodge had everything we needed and loved the hot tub. A great second stay at White Cross Bay, hope to revisit soon.
